Our Story

Nyahururu Elite Schools, founded in 1981, began as a nursery and kindergarten to meet the demand for quality education in the region. It quickly grew to include primary and secondary levels, establishing itself as a leader in academic excellence.

Over the years, the school has expanded its facilities and curriculum, focusing on holistic student development. Today, it continues to provide a nurturing environment where students excel academically, socially, and emotionally.

1981

The Beginning: Nyahururu Elite Schools was founded in 1981 as the first private school in the region, starting with a nursery and kindergarten to meet the demand for quality education.

1986

Expansion to Primary: In 1986, the school expanded to include Standard One, offering primary education and broadening its academic scope.

1987

New Location: The school moved to its current location in 1987, allowing for more space to accommodate growing enrollment and enhanced learning opportunities.

1997

High School Introduction: In 1997, Nyahururu Elite Schools introduced its high school, offering both I.G.C.S.E and K.C.S.E curriculums for comprehensive secondary education.

2000

First Graduates: The first group of students sat for their I.G.C.S.E and K.C.S.E exams in 2000, marking a significant milestone in the school’s academic success.

Our Heritage

Nyahururu Elite Schools, established in 1981 as the first private school in the region, began as a nursery and kindergarten to meet the demand for quality education. Over the years, it has grown in student population, facilities, and academic excellence, enrolling its first Standard One class in 1986 and moving to its current location in 1987.

The high school was introduced in 1997, producing its first I.G.C.S.E and K.C.S.E candidates in 2000. Guided by the mission to provide a foundation of knowledge while nurturing holistic development, the school’s success stems from a unique methodology and work plan emphasizing qualifications, skills, and a caring learning environment.
